Download the native macOS app and set it up in about two minutes. No technical know-how required — just follow the steps below.
Install it in five steps
Go to the download page
In your browser, go to
fastmail.com/download.Pick your Mac type
Under Desktop, click Download next to macOS (Apple Silicon) for a newer Mac, or macOS (Intel) for an older one.
Unzip the download
Open your Downloads folder and double-click the
.zipto expand it into Fastmail.app.Move it to Applications
Drag Fastmail.app into your Applications folder.
Open it and sign in
Open Fastmail from Applications (or Launchpad) and sign in.
The macOS download is a .zip, not a .dmg. There’s no disk image to mount — just unzip the file and drag the app into Applications.
Which one — Apple Silicon or Intel? Click the Apple menu (top-left) → About This Mac. If it says Apple M1/M2/M3/M4, choose Apple Silicon. If it says Intel, choose Intel.
